We do not run background checks
slop.date does not conduct criminal background checks or identity checks on its members. We cannot promise that a member is who they say they are, or that they have no criminal record. Use your own judgement every time.
Before you meet
- Keep talking through slop.date until you feel comfortable. You do not have to share your number.
- Do not share your home address, your workplace, your daily routine, or financial details.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you met here, whatever the story. Report anyone who asks.
When you meet
- Meet in a busy public place. Stay in public for the first few dates.
- Tell a friend where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be home.
- Get there and home on your own. Keep your phone charged.
- Watch your drink. Do not leave it alone. Drink only as much as you are comfortable with.
- Leave whenever you want. You do not owe anyone an explanation.
Sexual health and consent
- Consent is required every time, for everything, and can be withdrawn at any time.
- Protect your sexual health. Talk about testing and protection before you are intimate.
If something goes wrong
- If you are in danger, call 911.
- Text slop.date to block or report someone, or email [email protected]. A person reviews every report. When you block someone, they are blocked for you in every service Eliza Research Corporation runs.
